"Finding the right words to say about the impact of TMP’s Next Steps hub has proven to be very challenging, because there are no words that can truly justify the impact it has had on the recovery community. The difference having the hub as a place for those in recovery to go to has changed their lives for the better. I have seen the building of meaningful peer friendship and support, I have seen people being reunited with their children and the restoration of broken relationships, I have seen people leaving with a sense of identity and confidence in themselves and achieving the foundations to build a better life ahead, without substances. The rediscovering of new gifts and talents, re-education, etc, I could go on and on.

What has excited me the most is that the changes that have been taking place haven't been a one-off and rather is something that is witnessed week after week, success stories emerging from this magical place called Next Steps that I'm truly blessed to be a part of as a tutor.

From a tutoring standpoint, the success stories haven't been just limited to those that use the hub for their recovery needs, what I mean by this is that I have always been there from the initial stages when it was still just a frame with potential, and us tutors seeing the transformation week by week as the building work was being carried out by professionals and the clients using their skills to do their part in helping build the place up. The emerging transformation can also be seen through the level of courses being delivered by volunteer tutors who also share the common desire of seeing people's lives change.  Courses such as art, poetry, psychosocial, employability, and I believe this is just the beginning.”
