Use your skills to become a Matthew Project superhero!
Fund Raising Volunteer

Do you have an event or challenge in mind that could raise funds for The Matthew Project?
Could you help others fundraise?

The Matthew Project is a welcoming and vibrant place for building community, providing support, and helping to develop the confidence and skills for those in recovery from substance misuse. The Recovery Hub (at 70-80 Oak Street, Norwich NR3 3AQ) is currently open Monday to Friday. However, soon, the plan is to open at weekends too.

Our service users need us now more than ever. With your help fundraising we can support more vulnerable people across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. We are looking to build a team of amazing people that can support our fundraising activities.

Tasks may include:
-
organising fundraising events of your choice within the local community;
-
encouraging people to join in;
-
ensuring events are run in line with Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies and procedures;
-
sharing ideas and successes to inspire and support other Community Fundraisers; and
-
working with the Fundraising Team to engage community, organisations, and businesses.
-

Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

Personal qualities are very important to volunteering roles. You will need to be reliable, friendly, enthusiastic, and have a positive attitude to life. We also value great communication skills. These all need to be coupled with a commitment to substance misuse recovery principles.

The application process will include an interview, referencing and, if appropriate to the volunteering role, checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
